ROMA & TOURISM AND ART




Roma
Capitale della Cristianità e del Turismo, Roma è anche la Capitale Artistica d’Europa.

La città è ricca di monumenti, di musei, e di chiese che rappresentano la storia di mille secoli.


I monumenti, più importanti che noi possiamo vedere sono: il Foro romano, i Fori Imperiali, il Palatino e il Colosseo. la Fontana di Trevi, Piazzia di Spagna, Piazza Navona.

Noi abbiamo visitato Cerveteri e Tarquinia, due importanti centri etruschi che conservano due grandi necropoli.






 
   
Rome

Capital of the Christianity and of the Tourism, Rome is even the Artistic Capital of Europa.

The city is rich of monuments, of museums, and of churches that represent the history of thousand centuries.


The monuments, more important that we are able see am: the Roman Hole, the Imperial Holes, the Palatine and the Coliseum. the Course Fountain, it Places of Spagna, Places Navona.

We have visited Cerveteri and Tarquinia, two main points center etruscans that preserve two great necropolis.

La ville est riche des monuments, des musées, et d’Énglises qui represent l’histoire de plus de vingt siècles.


Les monuments, les plus importants que nous avons visités sont: Le Forum Romain, Le Forum Impériaux, Le Palatin et Le Colisée, Le Fountaine de Trevi, Place D’Espagne, Place Navona.      

Nous avons visité aussi Cerveterim et Tarquinia, deux importants centres étrusques qui conservant deux grandes nécropales. 

La Sicilia








La Sicilia è la più grande isola del Mediterraneo,
situata a metà strada fra lo Stretto di Gibilterra e
il Canale di Suez.















Lo Stretto di Messina, largo appena 3 Km, la separa dalla Calabria; il Canale di Sicilia, la separa dall’Africa. L’isola ha forma triangolare e si affaccia su tre mari: il Tirreno a Nord, lo Ionio ad Est, il Mare di Sicilia a Sud. Le punte estreme dell’isola sono il Capo Peloro verso Messina (anche conosciuto come Capo del Faro); il Capo Lilibeo presso Marsala ad Ovest; il Capo delle Correnti, a Sud. Appartengono alla regione le Isole Eolie o Lipari e Ustica nel Tirreno; le Isole Egadi, ad Ovest; Pantelleria e le Isole Pelagie nel Canale di Sicilia.










La Sicilia è la più grande regione italiana, è prevalentemente collinosa soltanto il 14% della superficie è pianeggiante. Radicale è il contrasto fra le varie parti dell’isola: da un paesaggio verdeggiante sulla Costa Tirrenica e Ionica si passa a vaste zone aride nell’interno e nella parte meridionale della regione.











La Costa Tirrenica è generalmente alta e frastagliata, i Golfi principali sono quelli di Patti, Termini Imerese, Palermo, e Castellaamare, la Costa Occidentale, da Trapani verso Sud, è in prevalenza paludosa; analoga conformazione ha la Costa Meridionale in cui si apre una sola grande insenatura, il Golfo di Gela. La Costa Ionica, alta da Messina a Catania, diventa bassa e paludosa più a Sud.  









La Principale Catena Montuosa, continuazione del Sistema Appenninico, si erge al ridosso della Costa Tirrenica, e si articola in tre sezioni distinte: quella orientale (Monti Peloritani) è la meno elevata: seguono poi i Monti Nebrodi e infine le Madonie. Altri gruppi montuosi sono costituiti dai Monti Iblei e più a Nord di questi dai Monti Erei. Nel territorio della regione vi sono due vulcani attivi, oltre l’Etna: quelli delle Isole di Stromboli e Vulcano nel gruppo delle Isole Eolie.
















I fiumi sono tutti di corso breve e hanno regime torrentizio. I principali sono: il Sireto che scorre hai piedi dell’Etna; il Salso che dalle Madonie scende fino al Mare di Sicilia; il Belice che nasce nei Monti che sovrastano Palermo; il Torto e il Platani.












 


Le Coste Settentrionali e Orientali hanno Clima mitissimo nei mesi invernali e caldo l’Estate, con scarse precipitazioni. Ancora più caldo a volte torrido è il clima dell’interno e della Costa Meridionale. L’Etna presenta una varietà di climi a seconda dell’altitudine.

Now from this hill, you can see the ruins of the Palaces of the Caesars and the majestic of  the  Circus Maximum, chariot races track.

Just few meters from the  Coliseum, there is also the Roman Forum, where we could imagine Julios Caesar having his triumphs for the conquests of Gallia (France). Here, we can find still intact the Senate, where the Emperors, ruled the Mediterranean Area and, on the other side of Coliseum, we can see some traces of terrible fire caused by crazy emperor Nero to build his Palace.

Just the Coliseum itself is a miracle of Architecture which survives to 2000 years of history , escaped to barbarians, wars and vandals full of stories about men's flights and cruel executions. Following the route of the victorious  generals, the tour will end up in the  middle of the imposing Capitoline square surrounded by the Roman gods flanking from the
top of th Capitoline museums the she wolf with Romulus and Remus and the other symbols of the Empire and led by the extraordinary bronze statue of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, still standing today in Roma after more than 2000 years and looking towards downtown with elenge and wisdom.

8 Day in Sicily - Tour Itinerary




 
Day 1,  Sat - Depart USA to Sicily . 
Your flights includes meals, drinks and in-flight enertaiment for you journey.

 




 

Day 2, Sun - Arrive in Palermo and transfer to your hotel. This evening, an orientation and weelcome reception with dinner at teh hotel: Palermo. 













Day 3,  Mon - This morning travel to Monreale where you will visit the Norman Cathedral, famuos for its Byzantine and Sicilian mosaics. 
 
Continue to visit the Old City of  Palermo including the Norman Palace and the Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure or take an optionalo tour to Cefalu' ($ 49): Palermo.






Day 4, Tuesday - Enjoy the spectacular drive tomedieval Erice located con the summmit of Mount San Giuliano, continue to visit the Valley of Temples, Juno, Concorde & Hercules before tasting the most famous local wines with bruschetta, local cheese and biscotti, overlooking the enchantimg atmosphere of illuminated Temples: Agrigento.



Day 5, Wed -This morning depart to Piazza Armerina to view the amazing mosaics of the Roman Villa del Casale. Continue to Taormina: Taormina  

Day 6, Thursday - Today begin with a visit to the slopes of Mount Etna - the highest active volcano in Europe. Reach the Silvestri Craters where you will have a chanche to walk on the different layers of lava solidified throughout the centuries. This afternoon enjoy time at leisure in upper town Taormina to wonder around the worldwide famous city's shops and sites: Taormina.



Day 7, Fri - Full day at the leisure or choose our optional visit to Siracusa, stretching out into the sea on the island of Ortygia. Visit the archeological park, the Roman anphitheatre and the Ear of Dionysus ($ 59): Taormina.   










Day 8, Sat - Transfer to the airport in Catania for your departure flight.

The Venetian Riviera



The Venetian coast is one of the tourist destination favourites from italian and foreign.

The enchanting and marvellous beach with relaxation, confort, fun, culture and nature, they compose an unforgottable vacation.

The more important city are: venezia, iesolo, caorle and chioggia.  



There are a lot of activity and attractions offered from the coast, but there is also the opportunity to admire his landscapes. 

The coast  is known all over the world  also for shopping and venetian cousine.  

Lagoon is not only important for the vacations by the sea but also for the excursions. 

Venice is one of the better city, and  it  is celebrated for the carnival, with the his characteristic masks. 


Besides for the visits of the buildings of the canal large and of the excursions in the islands of the lagoon:  murano  ( venetian glass ),  burano (lacework )  e torcello. 

The evening entertainment,  it is compose in this city, by avenues, squares,  parks , shops, bars,  cafes,  restaurants, discoes... and from the organize events!

Venetian cousine is based on fish, seafood and rice.
the tipical product are: ‘risi e bisi’, rice and peas, risotto with asparagious, mixed fried fish and seafood; 

There are other delicious products of the earth, pasta and beans and rustic strings, meat, `polenta', rice and the dried cod, united to the taste of the wines 
( soave or pinot).
